Thanks to our local Partners In Education, I was able to apply for grant to fund a robotics program in our class. I was so excited when I found out I was one of the chosen recipients of this grant. Part of our robotics program is this amazing little robot call a Bee Bot. Today I wanted the students to spend time learning about the robots and just have time exploring how they work. It was so much fun and the students had a blast. Next week we will use the Bee Bots to retell the story of "Where the Wild Things Are". Last week we read the story and each table is working on four scenes to use in their own retelling of the story. After they are complete, they will program the Bee Bots to move from one scene to the next in the correct order as they retell the story. This is just the first part of our use of the Bee Bots and only the beginning of our robotics program. Check back soon to see what else we are doing with our robotics program.
