Today we had a student from one of our early colleges come to our class and teach us about using the sun's resources in different ways. He showed us a great video with Bill Nye and then led us out to our new pavilion for four centers. We made awesome pinwheels, created shadow puppets while testing ice melting in different containers, used a "solar oven" to make s'mores, and looked at solar panels (one even powered a toy car!). The kids had so much fun and are begging for another S'mores Day. So be on the lookout at the end of the year for a special s'mores day!!! Below are some pictures of our day.
