During our weather unit in September and October we learned all about weather words, performed experiments, and learned about weather forecasting. As you know each of our tables represents a country present in our class or school so we wanted to extend our learning to see how weather can be different around the world but at the same time as us in New Bern, NC. Each morning our table communicators (we have a communicator to help their table, materials person to pass out materials, and a noise patrol to monitor their table's weather) investigate the weather in their country. They get their weather journal, grab an iPad, and scan a QR code that takes them to the current weather in their country. We then share the weather and compare conditions during our morning meeting and calendar each day. Below are a few pictures of class communicators preparing their journals.
