This week we had some exciting changes in our math lessons. We began to do math centers. With our math centers I spend around 15-20 minutes with a mini-lesson (we generally cover the same topic all week) then we break out into a center. Centers range from computers where we do IXL (you should have received your family letter in your child's BEAR Binder), independent practice in our math journals, a partner activity, and a group activity where they play a math game with Mrs. Sampson. I then pull a small group of students to give a more in-depth and challenging lesson so I can provide more direct attention to our students. On Friday's I will finish up anyone who I didn't meet with during the week and provide more support to those who need it. We have some wonderful pictures to share with you as well.
